Minot Area Senior Hockey

MASH is an adult recreational ice hockey program offering three skill-based divisions to give players of all experience levels an opportunity to enjoy playing.

Ages

Players must be 18 or older to play.

When

MASH Season runs from Mid October thru late March.

Where

Games are played at MAYSA Arena and the All Seasons Arena at the ND State Fairgrounds.

TIMES

Games are scheduled on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.

Games

Teams are typically scheduled for 15+ games and 2+ playoff games.

Jerseys

Jerseys are NOT provided by the MASH league.

Jerseys are the responsibility of each player/team.

All jerseys MUST display the player's number (name optional).

PLAYOFFS

The top 4 teams in each division will play for the MASH Mug.

OFFICIALS

Two referees and One scorekeeper will be scheduled for each game.

Frequently Asked Questions

ARE SLAPSHOTS ALLOWED?

Nope. Slapshots are not allowed. Play will be whistled dead and the faceoff will be in the defensive zone of the team who took the slapshot.

IS CHECKING ALLOWED?

No, checking is not allowed. Penalties will be called per the MASH League rulebook.

However, hockey is a physical sport and some body contact should be expected.

IS FIGHTING ALLOWED?

NO.

Fighting will result in a hearing with the MASH League manager and could result in suspension or long term ban.
